4 March: Priorities for the Workprogramme 2009 – 2010
The objective of this day will be to present and discuss contributions to the identification of priorities to be included in the Workprogramme 2009-2010 as a continuation of Challenge 1.2 “Service and Software Architectures, Infrastructures and Engineering”. In the morning there will be presentations presenting research challenges identified by different roadmapping projects and from two experts groups. The afternoon will give the opportunity to all participants that made a contribution to the web consultation to make a short presentation about what they consider important challenges in the field of software and services. So, all participants are invited to provide an input to Challenge 1.2’s web consultation.
5 March: Public launch of the 28 projects resulting from Call 1
The second day will give public visibility to the new projects originating from Call 1 of FP7 and will help in starting building the FP7 projects community around some well-defined collaboration activities. One unifying theme of these projects could be the “Internet of Services”. During the morning sessions the projects will present through round table discussions how their research will contribute to the various aspects of the “Internet of Services”. The afternoon session is reserved for the new projects to define the collaboration activities framework and coordination.
In order to enlarge the basis for the discussion on the Workprogramme, we remind you of the open web consultation, and we warmly invite you and your colleagues to participate. Further information on this and the modalities to participate can be found at http://www.eu-ecss.eu/contribution_list.
The draft agenda is attached, and as you may see from the programme, while for the first day you and your project partners are highly welcome, for the second day, representatives for the project are necessary. In our opinion, at least the project coordinator, the technical/scientific coordinator and the leader of the Collaboration activities task should represent the project. Any other person you consider useful to this meeting is also welcome.
During the course of January we will start developing together with you the round table discussions of the morning of 5 March. We will identify common themes and groups of projects that can form round tables.
We are also planning the publication of a booklet with factsheets of the FP7 projects. In order to have that available in time, we are asking you to fill in the attached template before 25 January 2008. Note that these factsheets are targeted to non-specialists, so please avoid specialist terms and jargon in your project description.
The final agenda and the opening of the registration will be communicated later on, but please check on http://cordis.europa.eu/fp7/ict/ssai for regular updates.
Participation to the afternoon session of the second day is by invitation only and limited to partners of the FP7 ICT projects funded under the Objective ICT-2007.1.2: Service and Software Architectures, Infrastructures and Engineering and persons that are currently active in the collaboration working groups representing FP6 projects. They will be invited to ensure continuity in the activities.
